Flow Automation

Build your security logic. No developer required.

Flow is SYAG's visual automation engine. Connect any event from any module — cameras, IoT, guards, visitors — to any action. Create automated responses that keep your facility safe without manual intervention.

When something happens, Flow makes sure the right thing happens next

Flow automation rules follow a simple three-part structure:

WHEN [trigger event occurs]

IF [condition is true]

THEN [action is executed]

You build these rules visually on a canvas — drag, connect, configure. No code. No IT department required.

Security logic you can see and understand

The Flow canvas is built on a visual node editor. Example rule:

[Camera: Zone B motion detected]

[Condition: Time is between 22:00 and 06:00]

[Action: Create incident — Priority HIGH]

[Action: Notify on-duty supervisor — Push + SMS]

[Action: Dispatch nearest guard to Zone B]

This rule runs automatically, 24/7, without any manual monitoring.

What can trigger a Flow rule

Trigger category Examples
Camera events Motion detected, intrusion zone breach, ANPR match, camera offline
IoT device events Panic button pressed, UPS failure, sensor alarm, gate open
Guard status events Guard misses checkpoint, guard goes offline, shift starts/ends
Visitor events Overstay detected, blacklisted individual scanned, contractor pass expires
Incident events Incident opened, incident unresolved after X minutes, incident escalated
Scheduled time Every day at 06:00, weekdays at 22:00, first day of month

What Flow can do automatically

Action category Examples
Create incident Open a new incident with priority, type, and description
Notify Push notification, SMS, email to specified roles or individuals
Dispatch guard Assign the nearest available guard to a location
Assign task Create a task for a specific guard or supervisor
Escalate Promote an incident to higher priority if unresolved
Log event Write a structured entry to the activity log

Start with a template. Customise from there.

After-hours motion detection response

Visitor overstay escalation

Guard missed checkpoint alert

Panic button emergency response

Camera offline maintenance alert

Contractor access expiry notification

What the alternatives look like

Without Flow

Every camera event, IoT alarm, and visitor overstay requires a human to notice it, decide what to do, and manually communicate the response. At 3am, with one supervisor on duty, things fall through the cracks.

With Flow

The platform acts as a second layer of supervision. Rules run continuously. The right people are notified the moment something happens. Guards are dispatched automatically. Nothing waits for someone to notice.
